Consequently, environmental education has become an urgent necessity for safeguarding the environment before irreversible damage occurs. The study aimed to examine the variations in Environmental Awareness on the basis of gender, religion, caste, and father's occupation of secondary school students. Environmental Awareness Questionnaire constructed by Dr. Praveen Kumar Jha (1998) was used to gather data. The sample comprised 150 students from IX and X class students who are studying in Uttar Dinajpur district’s government schools. Statistical methods, including the t-test and ANOVA (F-test), were employed to assess significant difference among demographic variables. The findings indicate no significant difference among secondary school students’ Environmental Awareness concerning gender, religion, and caste. However, a significant difference was found based on one demographic variable about father's occupation.
