While the program has achieved considerable success in expanding digital infrastructure and promoting digital services, a significant challenge remains in the form of digital inequality. This paper explores the current state of the Digital India initiative, highlights the dimensions and causes of digital inequality, and proposes measures to bridge the digital divide. The discussion is further enriched by integrating Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s perspective on social justice and equality, emphasizing how his vision can guide the efforts to create a more inclusive digital future.
