In order to provide secure data transmission for wireless networks, this paper suggests the energy-efficient LEACH protocol. The suggested work simulates the cluster-based routing protocol LEACH in a wireless sensor network using Networks Simulator, version NS2.27. The goal is to improve LEACH's energy-saving and secure data-transmission capabilities. The Cluster Head (CH) is chosen based on the node's vicinity and residual energy rather than at random. This hybrid approach improves the performance of conventional LEACH by designating the node eligible for the CH as the cluster head. Secure data transfer and cluster node authentication are not supported by traditional LAECH. Secure data transmission and authentication are carried out for specific applications where security is the most crucial factor by utilizing the XOR function and key management to add security between CH and CM. The suggested LEACH extends the wireless sensor network's lifespan while providing security.
