The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the face of the financial sector in metropolitan cities such as Mumbai. This study seeks to examine the various methods employed by accountants in Mumbai to integrate AI technologies into their practices. Due to the greater levels of automation being introduced to routine activities, accountants now have to assume more proactive roles as strategic consultants. This research combines various approaches to study the application of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation, in accounting firms and corporate finance departments. Results show the benefits of AI in increasing precision and productivity, while also illustrating the persistent skill shortage, data security issues, and ethical challenges AI poses. Suggestions provided by the research further empower accountants in Mumbai to mitigate the impact of advancing technology and remain relevant and competitive in the digital economy.
