Abstract:    This paper examines mass marriages and divorces among couples participating in mass marriage functions organized by various maths and political leaders in Bagalkot district, North Karnataka. Previous studies have shown a relationship between socio-economic background and marital duration. This study analyzes variables such as residence, family type, caste, education, occupation, income, age, and number of children to understand their impact on marital problems and adjustment processes after divorce.
