In order to boost transparency, reduce bureaucratic hold-ups, and enhance service delivery, the Digital India initiative has expanded e-Government platforms. Both administrative enhancements and opportunities for greater citizen empowerment through more inclusion and government engagement are provided by these digital projects. The progress of e-Government initiatives in India is evaluated in this paper, which also examines how they affect public involvement, accountability, and accessibility. It highlights examples of how digital platforms have improved service delivery and created opportunities for marginalized individuals to obtain rights and benefits. The study also acknowledges persistent challenges that often impede the full implementation of these changes, such as low levels of digital literacy, disparities in infrastructure, data privacy concerns, and the digital divide. With the support of citizen-focused policies and capacity-building strategies, technology cannot empower people on its own, according to this study, which argues that India's digital governance projects must be viewed within a broader socio-political framework. The review claims that Digital-Government might be a catalyst for strengthening democracy and encouraging substantial public participation in India's governance structure provided it is implemented inclusively and sustainably.
