A critical objective of this initiative is to enhance transparency and accountability in governance through the adoption of digital technologies. This article examines the role of Digital India in promoting transparent and accountable governance by analyzing key components such as Aadhaar, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and various e-governance platforms. Through case studies and data analysis, the article highlights the successes and challenges associated with these digital interventions. The findings suggest that while significant progress has been made in reducing corruption and improving service delivery, challenges such as the digital divide, data privacy concerns, and cybersecurity threats persist. Addressing these issues is essential to fully realize the potential of Digital India in fostering transparent and accountable governance.
