Abstract: This study examined the roles of adult education programmes in curbing drug abuse among youths in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. The study was guided by four research questions; and adopted the descriptive survey design. The population comprised 456 beneficiaries and facilitators of adult education programmes in literacy centres in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. The sample of the study was 256.  This comprises 26 facilitators and 230 beneficiaries of adult education programmes. The proportionate stratified sampling technique was adopted in selecting 10% of the population of beneficiaries in each adult education centre while the entire population of facilitators were studied without sampling. Data for the study was collected with the use of a structured Questionnaire titled “Roles of Adult Education Programmes in Curbing Drug Abuse among Youths Questionnaire” The internal consistency of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha statistic. A cumulative reliability index of 0.86 which showed the instrument was reliable. The Mean statistics and standard deviation were used in answering the research questions. The result of the findings revealed amongst others that: both facilitators and beneficiaries in adult literacy centers agreed that vocational education programmes play significant roles in curbing drug abuse among youths in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended amongst others that: the Federal Government should establish functional vocational education programmes in all adult literacy centres in Nigeria to equip youths with productive activities in other to reduce their idle moments and reduce their engagement in drug related influences and keep them busy.
