Employee engagement is attracting increasing interest from employers across a range of sectors. In some ways it is a very old idea – employers’ desire to find ways to increase employee motivation and gain greater commitment to their work and organization. In some ways it is ‘new’ because the context in which engagement is sought is different. Given the level of international competition and the increasing pressure on performance standards, one aspect of this difference is the higher penalty that workers pay if they are less engaged than their competitors’ employees. The study examines the impact of employee engagement on workforce efficiency and job commitment across from diamond engineering Chennai Pvt. Ltd. A sample of 30 employees was surveyed using a structured questionnaire. The descriptive analysis revealed that employee engagement had a overall engagement score of 4.04, indicating a moderate to high engagement level among employees. The correlation analysis demonstrated a strong positive relationship between employee engagement and organizational performance, confirming that higher engagement is associated with improved productivity, job satisfaction, and commitment. The regression analysis further established that employee engagement significantly impacts organizational performance explaining 76% of the variance in performance outcomes. The study provides insights for organizations to enhance engagement and improve overall business performance. The findings emphasize that enhancing employee engagement strategies can lead to higher productivity, increased job satisfaction, and stronger employee commitment, ultimately driving organizational success. Organizations should focus on initiatives such as career development programs, employee recognition, and a positive work environment to optimize engagement levels and overall business performance.
