Abstract:    This paper investigates the influence of subsidiary-level profitability on the stock price dynamics of the holding company, using SBI Cards & Payment Services ltd and its parent entity, State Bank of India (SBI), as a focused case study. Through financial data analysis and stock price correlation, the study explores how market participants react to the financial performance of a major listed subsidiary and its effect on the holding company's market valuation.
