Abstract:-

Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) are consumer products designed for frequent use, usually consumed quickly, and have high demand and low cost. Household and personal care products accounts for 50% of the sales in the FMCG industry, healthcare accounts for 31-32% and food and beverage accounts for the remaining 18-19%. FMCG is the fourth largest sector in the Indian economy & it is an important contributor to India’s GDP growth. FMCG companies play a crucial role in our daily lives. From tooth paste, soaps, daily use items etc. FMCG companies have influenced the Indian market and are set to grow further. The FMCG industry has seen some big players but disruption by new players has also changed the Indian scenario. The top Indian FMCG companies include names like HUL, ITC, Nestle and New Entrant Patanjali. The primary purpose of this paper is to know the concept of FMCG and provide a comprehensive overview of the Indian FMCG sector. This paper is also focused on importance of FMCG Sector
