The study aims to assess the investment behavior of working-class women in Hyderabad by utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data was collected through questionnaires administered to women employed in government and private sector organizations within the city. Secondary data was obtained from literature surveys, journals, periodicals, textbooks, internet sources, newspapers, and reports. The analysis employed various statistical tools, including simple frequency distribution, one-sample t-test, independent t-test, Friedman test, and Chi-square test. The findings reveal that working women are generally well-aware of various savings avenues, with similar levels of awareness observed among both government and private sector employees. Their investment decisions are influenced by factors such as income tax benefits, fair returns, retirement corpus accumulation, children’s education, marriage expenses, holidays, and liquidity needs. Additionally, the study highlights a significant association between annual income and investment behavior among working women in the region.
