The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme plays a vital role in promoting child health and maternal health in India. Studies show that ICDS services have contributed to improved health outcomes for children and mothers particularly in rural areas. Most of mothers have shown average knowledge scores regarding ICDS services with variations in knowledge and utilization levels. Key areas of focus include nutrition, Health care and immunization. This study assesses the knowledge and practices of Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) regarding child health and maternal health. AWWs demonstrated a good level of knowledge in areas such as breastfeeding, immunization and diarrhea management. However gaps were identified in knowledge related to growth monitoring and supplementary feeding. The study highlights the importance of regular training and supportive supervision to enhance AWWs' knowledge and practices, ultimately improving health outcomes for children and mothers. The findings suggest that AWWs play a crucial role in promoting maternal and child health, particularly in rural areas and that targeted interventions can help address existing knowledge gaps and improve service delivery.
